Kathleen Whelan is the well-known co-ordinator of the meals on wheels program in Sydney who enjoys Crossfit and outdoor activities in her spare time. What talent would you most like to have? I have always wanted to be an Olympic gymnast. They just look so strong and beautiful.
Coffee or tea? Coffee, for sure.
What is your favourite food? I love a
Spicy Tofu Pad Thai.
Favourite movie?
Any Nostalgia flick from the 1990s.
Favourite book?
The Hunter’s Moon.
Favourite music? Well that depends on my mood. I do love a good singalong and know most of the words to pretty much every song that has ever existed.
Leisure Time: I like to stay active, work out at Crossfit Jono, do yoga, play hockey in the winter and baseball in the summer. I also like quality time with friends and family.
Pet Peeve: Computers ... Ask anyone I work with, computers and I don’t get along.
Trait I Admire: Confidence. If more people had greater confidence in their own abilities the world would be so different
Motto: Live your life, you do you, go your own way – anything along those lines I think is important to remember.
Favourite thing about Cape Breton: I love Cape Breton’s beauty and its potential for adventure. It rivals any other world-class destination in its own unique way.
