It is with deep sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Shauna Maureen Pozzebon, 46, on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.

Born in New Waterford, she was a daughter of Colleen (MacKinnon) Pozzebon and the late Johnny Pozzebon.

Shauna was self-employed as a hairdresse­r for many years. She loved cooking and gardening and took great pleasure in preparing meals for family and friends. Shauna was a kindhearte­d person who loved caring for people who couldn’t care for themselves. She loved her children and her fur buddies, her dogs, Max and Sasha.

Surviving are daughter, Katelyn Charmaine Pozzebon (Curtis MacPherson); son, Andrew Patrick Pozzebon; halfbrothe­r, Jackie Tighe, all of New Waterford; sister, Sheri Pozzebon (Paul Mullins), Louisbourg; father of her children, Johnny Sampson, Halifax, and nieces and nephew, Jessica Power, Michaela Power and Patrick Power.

Besides her father, she was predecease­d by her lifelong partner, John Hall, and maternal grandparen­ts, Hector and Charmaine MacKinnon.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 25 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivra­y Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. Cremation will follow. A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, February 27, at 10 a.m. in the Parish Church of St. Leonard, Mount Carmel Avenue, with Father Ray Huntley officiatin­g. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Army, Navy, Airforce, Unit 217, New Waterford.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
