Greg Davies

-

Born in England, Greg Davies moved with his family to Canada when he was two and grew up in Niagara Falls. From a young age Davies knew he was passionate about art. After high school, Davies went to university to study art history, receiving his undergrad from York University and his masters from the University of Toronto. He did start working on his doctoral thesis in Italia Baroque caricature, comic portraits, but life and family forced him to put this on pause. He hopes to eventually turn this research into a book. Davis and his family moved to Cape Breton in September after he was hired as curator for the CBU Art Gallery. Before that, he taught art history at McMaster University, Guelph University and the University of Toronto. Davies has been working as a professional curator for three years.
