TIME FOR A BREAK
Something for everyone to do over March break .
If it’s adventure you seek for you or your kids during your March break next week, a wide array of organizations and community groups may very well have some ideas of interest.
You can let your imagination soar during theatre and dinner theatre productions or let your creativity flow through a series of hands-on workshops.
Story times throughout the week can also get the creative juices flowing.
It it’s exercise you’re after, adventures on the snow, ice and in the water are possibilities.
“You can do thing that are social, you can do things that are active, you can listen to some music or watch a movie,” said Cape Breton Regional Municipality recreation program coordinator Joe Costello about CBRM Taste of Winter activities.
“There’s lots of things to do and it makes it so you can build your own schedule rather than having to go to every single thing.”
The Taste of Winter schedule alone features daily activities and events, but Costello noted many other organizations have set up their own elaborate forms of March break fun.
“People are excited and ready to get involved and get engaged, which is a great thing for our community.”
Included with this story is a long list of many of those events. Call the group or organization that interests you for further information.
