KANE, Philip

Port Morien

-

It is with great sadness that I announce the sudden passing of my oldest son, Philip Vincent Kane who passed away suddenly on Monday, March 19 at home at the age of 42.

Philip was a graduate of Riverview Rural High. He moved to Ontario where he began his career in the trucking industry. He returned home to continue this work and at the time of his death was employed with Armour Transportation.

Philip’s greatest passion was his love and devotion for his son, Thomas. They shared a great love of the outdoors, especially fishing. His best friend is Kendall Hutchins and as best pals could be found at Wreck Cove, Barrachois or Loch Lomond in pursuit of the elusive brown trout or striped bass.

Philip is survived by his father, Reg, his brother, Michael and his wife, Trina and Philip’s son, Thomas. He is also survived by his grandfather, Edward Kane and his nieces, Brittany and Faith and many aunts and uncles.

Philip was predeceased by his mother, Sarah Agnes Kane (2017), his maternal grandparents, Hughie and Mary MacArthur and his paternal grandmother, Maude Kane. He was also predeceased by an uncle, John Hugh MacArthur (2013).

Cremation has taken place and Philip’s organs removed for transplant. Visitation for the late Philip Vincent Kane will be held at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel on Sunday, March 25 between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. A service under the direction of Father Duaine Devereaux will take place at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

I suggest that the most appropriate way for people who wish to donate, is to consider a donation to research for the cure of fibromyalgia.
