Getting back on track

Storms missed

- Kathy Golemiec

Hey there, it’s me Kathy. How was your week? Mine was difficult but we missed the four last storms we were supposed to get so that was a good thing.

But it sure was cold some nights.

I went to see the doctor last week and everything looked OK. My shoulders and hands are still sore.

Vicky and I went to the Healing Touch session on Tuesday night. It is fun to go there since you met a lot of new people and it really helps make you feel better. It is upstairs in the fire hall every other Tuesday in New Glasgow and it starts at 7. The next one will be April 5.

We also went to Valu Village. Every Tuesday is senior’s day and it’s 30 per cent off. They used to give you a percentage off every time you donated stuff but they have stopped that. We find the prices have gone way up since they opened.

Then we went to the Salvation Army. They redid the shop in New Glasgow. They painted and put new racks in the store. Everything thing is rearranged so you can see what they have for sale.

Vicky and I went to the New Beginnings shop that is on summer street. They have very nice clothing and great prices.

We went to Michael’s. The prices are out of this world but things are beautiful to look at.

We went to the Westville Salvation Army. The shop is very nice.

I got a new cane made. A lady at the flea market made it for me. Her name is Eva.

It is beautiful. It was made to fit to me.

I lost two pounds this week.

This is the first time in almost a year that I had to take a breakthrough medicine because the pain was so bad.

I hope you have a good week. Don’ t put away your snow boots away yet.
