HAWCO, Robert

-

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Hawco announce his passing after a long and lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s on Friday March 23, 2018 at the age of 73 in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Robert was born on September 14, 1944.

Bobby was an avid fisher, hunter, dart player, golfer, and enjoyed the outdoors. Bobby was employed for over 25 years with Air Liquid. Dad had the biggest laugh and welcomed everyone into his home with open arms, always making you feel part of the family. The little yellow house in Portage was where he loved to spend time with family and friends while playing golf on the hill. Our Dad wasn’t afraid to laugh and laugh loud. He reminded us it’s okay to be kind when people aren’t looking.

Bobby leaves behind the love of his life of 41 years, Michele; children, Bobby (Linda), Balls Creek, Nova Scotia, Ronnie (Brenda), Barrie, Ontario and Jacenta (Robert), Grande Prairie, Alberta. Bobby’s three grandchildren, Paige, Hayden, and Rowan – brought him the greatest joy. We will miss your great smile and that amazing laugh, Dad. Bob also leaves his sister, Terri; brothers, Louie and Jimmy, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bobby was predeceased by his parents, Sandy and Edith; sisters, Dawn, Karen, Sandra, Carmie, as well as brothers, Billy and Jake.

A Celebration of his life will be held later in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.

Care entrusted to Bear Creek Funeral Home www.bearcreekfuneral.com; 780-830-7742.
