FRASER, David W.

-

It is with great sadness that we must say goodbye to our dear friend, David Fraser, aged 71 years. David passed away at the Victoria Haven Nursing Home, on Sunday March 25, 2018.

David grew up on School Street in Caledonia, Glace Bay and was known to his closest friends and neighbors as “Fraser”

He had a great love for music and especially loved Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley.

He loved his neighbors and neighborhood and would spend many evenings sitting on his lawn chair outside of his little barn with his radio playing in the background. You would get a “How do” as you walked by. He had such a tender heart for animals and loved his precious “Lady” and “Goldie.” The last years of his life were spent at Victoria Haven Nursing Home after suffering a stroke. The staff became David’s family. I would like to say a very special thank you to all the staff at Victoria Haven. Your care and compassion will always be appreciated.

Arrangements have been left in the care of TJ Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists. There will be no visitation. A memorial service is being organized and will be announced at a later date.

Donations to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family by visiting www.tjtracey.com.

I will end this with

Dave’s words of wisdom “Like the Fella says: I never wanted much in life, just a little gravy on my fries” Rest in Peace, my friend.
