We, the children of the late Mary Digero, wish to express our sincere gratitude to our relatives, friends, neighbours, employer and co-workers for their expression of love and support at the time of our great loss. Thank you to Troy’s friends who sent flowers and food to the hospital, your kindness was well noticed. To those who sent food to our homes, gave monetary gifts, sent cards, flowers, messages, e-mails, phone calls and made memorial donations in our Mother’s memory, thank you, your kindness will not be forgotten.
To the wonderful EHS staff who treated Ma with such tenderness and care, you did not go unnoticed. Thank you to Dr. Oei, for you many years of care, your concern for our Mother confirmed she was in good hands. Dr. Ron MacCormick, Dr. Carol Critchley, Dr. Sands and staffs of the Renal and Cancer units, thank you all for the care you gave Ma over the years. Dr. Lange and staff of the New Waterford Hospital, thank you for your compassion and concern for our Mother. To the Emergency staff at the CBRH a big thank you for making our mother comfortable.
Thank you to the nursing staff of 3A, physio, respitory therapist, and cleaning staff who showed nothing but compassion and respect for our mother.
The palliative care unit we cannot say enough, the staff, Dr’s and volunteers are exceptional. To Dr. Aboud and nursing staff ‘thank you’ for making Ma so comfortable and looking so beautiful and peaceful. She looked like she was home in her own bed, this made what we were dealing with so much easier.
Dr. Kelly thank you for your thoughtful phone call with an update on Ma. Dr McCarvel, what can we say except, thank you for all that you did for our mother and us, your compassion is outstanding, “never change”. Days when Ma would not respond to us, she would just hear your voice, see your face and she would light up, the care and compassion you showed our Mother was wonderful to watch.
To Clayton Murphy and staff of the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, thank you for your kindness and professionalism. Thank you to the ladies who provided the beautiful lunch. Heartfelt thanks to the pallbearers who carried her to her final resting place, Troy Digero (the King), Kevin Crosby, Chris Theriault, Ryan Tobin, Leon MacDonald and Charles Digero, she loved you all.
To Tracy and Laura, her granddaughters, thank you for the beautiful readings. Thank you to Viola Penney, for her guidance choosing the readings also to Deacon Leo Penney, you spoke of our mother as if you knew her. Thank you for the beautiful service at the funeral home and the grave yard.
