People from across the maritime provinces have to travel to Halifax for medical treatments for different reasons. While some accommodations are specifically for cancer patients, like The Lodge That Gives, there are some that aren’t and some that are particularly good for people needing wheelchair accessibility.

Here is a list of some of these accommodations:

The Point Pleasant Lodge: Privately owned and operated, this not-for-profit hotel has 100 room for anyone traveling to Halifax for medical appointments, including dental and ophthalmology (eye-related diseases).

Chateau Bedford: For people needing wheelchair accessible rooms, this hotel has a couple, however early booking might be needed due to the high demand.
