Dollie M. (Tomie) Abbass, 93, of Smyrna, Tennessee, passed away on April 2, 2018. A native of Nova Scotia, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Neil Tomie and Lily Julian Tomie. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Fred Tomie, and a sister, Freda Genter.

She is survived by a son, Chris Wrenn, and his wife, Danita Wrenn, of Smyrna, TN; grandchild­ren, Whitney Wrenn of Smyrna, TN, Jessica Hill and her husband, Josh Hill, of Speedwell, TN; great granddaugh­ter, Harper Hill, and soon to be born great grandson, Rhett Hill, of Speedwell, TN; brother, George Tomie, and sister, Annie Abbass, both of Nova Scotia, Canada, and numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Ms. Abbass was well known for her strong faith, kind heart, social personalit­y and her many charitable endeavors over the years. She was a devoted member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Smyrna, at a later date. A celebratio­n of life and burial will take place in Sydney, Nova Scotia at a date and location to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Dollie Abbass be made to the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n, Mid South Chapter, 4825 Trousdale Dr., Nashville, TN 37220.
