FERGUS WINS ALLAN CUP

Former Cape Breton Screaming Eagles forward Cam Fergus captured the Allan Cup national senior hockey championship as a member of the Stoney Creek Generals on Saturday in Rosetown, Sask. The Generals defeated the Lacombe Generals 7-4 to win the 110th edition of the tournament. Fergus played a season and a half with the Screaming Eagles, joining the club midway through the 2005-06 season. He also played five seasons with the Saint Mary’s Huskies before joining the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL.
