It is with heavy hearts that we, her children, announce the sudden passing of our mother, Debbie MacMullin at home on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of Theodore ‘Ted’ MacNeil and the late Margorie MacNeil.

Debbie was an energetic and happy soul who always had a smile on her face and a kind word. Debbie was an amazing mother to her two children, Curtis and Andrea, they were her world. She was employed with Seaview Manor for the past 35 years, and was also employed with DCI for the past several years. She loved being busy, always on the move. Debbie enjoyed gardening especially with her late husband Stephen.

Debbie is survived by her father, Ted MacNeil; her two children, Curtis Nega and Andrea (Shawn) MacNeil; her brothers, John (Wendy) MacNeil, Robert (Lisa) MacNeil and Barry MacNeil; her special cousin, Aileen (Charles) Nauss; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many great friends; as well as Sara Deveaux, she was like a second daughter to her.

Besides her mother, she was predecease­d by her husband, Stephen MacMullin.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 12- 2 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. with Father Daniel Boudreau officiatin­g at the T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialist­s, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS, 902-849-4199. Reception to follow. Burial to take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, MacLeod’s Road Glace Bay.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, the SPCA, Animal Rescue or a charity of your choice.
