KENNEDY, David Harold

-

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad, David Harold Kennedy, age 68, on April 19, 2018 at Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

Born in Louisbourg, he is survived by his mother, Josephine; siblings, Charlie, Catherine, Greg, Marie and Darlene, and his kids, Mandy, Davey, Roddy, Kevin and Malcolm. David was also the proud papa of his grandchildren, Ainslie, William and Isla.

After spending much of his childhood in Guelph, Ontario, David later moved to Sydney River where he spent most of his life. David had a passion for cars and made a living in automotive and sales. He also spent some time working in construction. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, sketching, restoring old cars, playing baseball and spending time with his kids. He was a huge hockey fan, and loved watching Crosby and his Penguins. A straight shooter, David would tell it how it is. He loved to laugh, and make others laugh.

He accomplished many things in his life, but nothing made him prouder than his family. To his kids, he was a mentor, a role model, a friend, and an amazing father. David would do anything for his family. Devastated as we are, it gives us great peace that he knew how much he meant to his family.

Cremation and private family service has taken place.

We love you Dad, and you will always be in our hearts. May you rest in peace.
