It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of Arthur Wayne Campbell, age 79, announce that Da has been reunited with the love of his life on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the Glace Bay Hospital. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late William and Beatrice (Boozan) Campbell.

Wayne was a coal miner for 36 years, he loved shooting darts and in his younger days he enjoyed playing baseball with a nice cold Keith’s. He also loved to play poker and was known for his big sense of humour and cracking jokes. His passion in life was his love and devotion to his family.

Wayne is survived by sons, Arthur (Karen) and Troy (Janet); daughters, Mary Ann, June (Russell Hannan), Betty, Gen (Robbie Parsons) and Tori; 18 grandchild­ren and 26 great-grandchild­ren; sisters, Pearl and Rose; brothers, Charlie, David and Eric; son in law, Glenn Russell; sister-in-law, Mary MacLellan, and most importantl­y, his baby boy, Spike, and many nieces and nephews.

Wayne was predecease­d by his parents; the love of his life, his wife, Aggie (MacLellan) Campbell; daughter, Teresa; son-in-law, Howard Lawrence; three brothers; five sisters; two infant children, and greatgrand­son, Nathan.

A special thank you to Dr. Mark Ellerker and the nursing staff of Glace Bay Hospital for everything you have done for our father.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, May 9, 2018 from 6-9 p.m. followed by a funeral service on Thursday at 2 p.m., all in V.J. McGillivra­y Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. Their long-time neighbour, Fr. Patrick O’Neil will officiate. Interment will take place at a later date in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glace Bay.
