Ready for Port Days

The Port of Sydney will be hosting its annual Port Days on May 23-24 that begin with a reception at the Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion on the opening night.

Port Days welcome industry stakeholders from across the Atlantic region and the country to listen to presentations and take part in question and answer sessions on various aspects of port development in Sydney harbour.

All presentations and speeches will take place at the cruise pavilion on the Sydney waterfront. The highlights on May 24 include:

• 9 a.m. Address from Port of Sydney Development Corp. CEO Marlene Usher

• 9:20 a.m. Presentation by Offshore Technology Services general manager Matthew Denney

• 9:45 a.m. Novaporte update with Ports America

• 10:45 a.m. Second cruise ship berth progress report with CBCL Ltd. manager Richard Morykot

• 11:10 a.m. Marine Atlantic CEO Paul Griffin

• 11:30 a.m. One Ocean Expedition managing director Andrew Prossin

• 11:50 a.m. Sydney waterfront project update with Jim Wooder of JBW Consulting Inc.

• 12:15 p.m. Pre-luncheon reception

• 12:45-2:15 p.m. Luncheon with keynote address by Harold Westerman, the senior principal for ports and marine terminals at Stantec in Vancouver.

• 7 p.m. Lobster dinner and Cape Breton ceilidh
