Contest awarding tickets to see Sheeran
Ed Sheeran is one of the hottest entertainers in the world right now and a contest resulting from two Inverness County nonprofit organizations fundraising together means anyone has the opportunity to see the singersongwriter in concert later this summer.
SAERC Daycare in Port Hawkesbury and Strathspey Performing Arts Centre in Mabou are holding a joint fundraiser that will give ticket buyers two chances to win tickets to Sheeran’s concert at the Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Mass., on Sept. 15. The first prize package includes airfare, two nights accommodations and tickets to the show for two people. The second prize is two tickets to the concert only.
Tickets on these prizes will be sold for $10 each or three for $25 and the draw will take place on 101.5 The Hawk on Aug. 6.
“Contest organizers are hoping that the popularity of Ed Sheeran will help the tickets sell themselves,” said Tracey MacNeil, executive director of Strathspey Performing Arts Centre.
“We were so excited when the opportunity was presented to us to work with SAERC Daycare on this initiative. The pooling of resources between the two organizations strengthens sales efforts by enabling us to cast a wider net through our collective networks of volunteers.”
SAERC Daycare Society is a non-profit organization providing childcare and development
for all children since 1978. Strathspey Performing Arts Centre’s mission is to enrich their communities through a mix of performing arts, entertainment and educational opportunities.
