Mary Pauline Morrison, age 83, of Erinville, Guysboroug­h Co., passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, in the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home.

Born in Salmon River Lake, Guysboroug­h Co., she was a daughter of the late Francis and Rose Ellen (Burns) MacDonald.

Above all Mary was a wife and mother. She worked at preparing Christmas trees and wreaths as well as being a clerk at Morrison’s General Store in Erinville. She was a member of St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, Salmon River Lake and also the St. Thomas Ladies Aide. Surviving are her daughters, Theresa (Russell Morris), Lincolnvil­le, Rose (Sandy Benoit), Erinville; sons, Allan, Burlington, Ont, Earl, Ogden, Fr. John, Erinville. Billy (Patricia), Fall River, Michael (Margaret Ellen), Erinville, Leo (Donna), Linwood; sister, Millie (Jack) Forbes, Dartmouth; brother, Rod, Salmon River Lake; sisters-in-law, Mary MacDonald (late Hugh Jo), R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish, Alexina MacDonald (late Ed), Antigonish, Christine MacDonald (late Bob), Linwood, Kaye MacDonald, Erinville; grandchild­ren, Laura, Rosalie, Karrie, Sylvia, Jeremy, Charita, Erin, Hannah, Kyle, Deirdre, Jordan, Ashlin, Alyssa and Jennifer; great-grandchild­ren, Thomas, Mary Magdelene, MJ, Kameron, Stephanie.

She was predecease­d by her husband, Joseph; brothers, Bern, Bob, Joe and Ed; sister and brother-in-law, Kaye and James Farrell; granddaugh­ter, Stephanie.

Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. on Sunday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysboroug­h. Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. on Monday from St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, Salmon River Lake with her son, Fr. John Morrison officiatin­g. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Parish Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas Parish Cemetery Fund, the Guysboroug­h Food Bank and also to light a candle for someone who needs a prayer.
