The Nova Scotia Rifle Association held its annual provincial championships in both Olympic standard and free pistol shooting in Halifax on June 2. Members of Cape Breton’s Metro Rifle and Pistol Club, from left, Mike Kelly of East Bay, winner of the MacDonald Trophy as provincial champion in the Olympic standard pistol event; Andy Maxwell of Sydney, winner of the Selig Cup as provincial champion in the Olympic free pistol event, and Joe MacHoll of Mira, bronze medalist in the Olympic free pistol event. All three will compete at nationals this summer in Cookstown, Ont.
