CLEMENTS, Joe ‘Junior’

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Joe ‘Junior’ Clements, age 83, on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Joseph and Bridgett (Hart) Clements.

He loved hunting deer and rabbit in his younger years. He was also an avid Toronto Fan and most of all, loved spending time with his grandchild­ren.

He is survived by four sons, Kenny (Lisa), Port Morien, Donald (Lynda), Donkin, Ronald, Port Morien, Jody (Donna), Port Morien; one daughter, Kathy (Calder), St. Catherine’s ON; brothers, Allie (Berthie), John (Belinda), Barry (Rhode), and sisters, Marilyn, Sharon (Jim) and Mary (Leonard). Junior is also survived by eight grandchild­ren, Ryan, Stacy (AJ), Megan (Kadeem), Taylor, Breagh, Kenneth, Devyn and Chelsea; one great-grandson, Zaidyn, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predecease­d by his wife, the former Marion (Tory) Spencer on December 29, 2001; sisters, Ethel, Hazel and Freda, and brothers, Lewis, James and Henry.

There will be no visitation or funeral services. Cremation has take place under the direction of V.J. McGillivra­y Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay.

A special thank you to the nurses and staff on 4B, and to the Palliative Care Unit at the Cape Regional Hospital, and also to the Cape Breton V.O.N.
