ER closures in Glace Bay

GLACE BAY — The emergency department at the Glace Bay Hospital will close today at 4 p.m. and reopen Thursday at 7 a.m.

The emergency room will close again Thursday at 4 p.m. and reopen Friday at 7 a.m.; close at 4 p.m. and reopen Saturday at 7 a.m. The ER will also close Saturday at 4 p.m. and reopen Monday at 7 a.m.; and will close Monday at 4 p.m. and reopen Thursday at 7 a.m. The Nova Scotia Health Authority says the closures are due to the unavailability of doctors to cover the shifts.
