Sooners down Ramblers at provincial­s

The Sydney Sooners posted a 12-2 win over the Sydney Mines Ramblers at the 2018 Nova Scotia Major Little League Championsh­ip at Vince Muise Field on Tuesday.

The win improves Sydney’s record to 2-1, while the Ramblers fell to 0-3.

Tyler Seymour picked up the win on the mound for the Sooners, while Connor Lavoratore took the loss.

At the plate, Anthony Lecky and Dilon Arsenault had a double apiece for the Sooners, while Derrien Reynolds slapped a single. For the Ramblers, Hudson MacGean hit an RBI double and an RBI single, Hunter Doucette recorded a double

and Dave Eveleigh and Andrew LeBlanc added a hit each.
