Bail hearing set for Dominion woman charged with assault

SYDNEY — A Dominion woman is to return to provincial court today for a bail hearing in connection with an assault and a stolen vehicle.

Melissa Marie Clarke, 26, of Neville Street, is charged with assault, theft of a vehicle (a Ford Escape owned by the complainant) and two counts of breaching court orders — failing to behave and failing to abstain from alcohol. The offences allegedly occurred Tuesday in Sydney.

Clarke made a brief provincial court appearance Tuesday and remanded pending the outcome of today’s bail hearing.
