Paul T. McCormick, St. John’s, Nfld., age 70, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018, after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, on January 16, 1948.

Paul is survived by his wife of 47 years, Myra; his children, Trevor (Teralynn) and Penny; his cherished grandchild­ren, Jordan and Kiera; sisters, Brenda MacLeod, Norma McCormick and Debbie Lush; brother, Ralph; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Dobbin and Susie Cheeseman; brothers-in-law, Don Penney and George Penney; and his many adored nieces and nephews.

He was predecease­d by his parents, Paul and Ethel; sisters-in-law, Shirley Penney and Betty Penney; brothers-in-law, Gordon Penney, Dennis MacLeod and Barry Lush.

Paul was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for more than 30 years, stationed in Newfoundla­nd and Labrador. He enjoyed and appreciate­d the many visits from the RCMP veterans during the latter part of his illness. He was happiest spending his summers on the Mira River with family.
