NICHOLSON, James ‘Jimmy’

-

Dominion

It is with a broken heart that I announce the sudden passing of my son and best friend, James (Jimmy) Bernard Nicholson, 55 on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at home.

Born January 20, 1963, he was a lifetime resident of Dominion.

Jimmy was a very kind soul who was always willing to lend a helping hand to both his family and friends whether it be mowing lawns, snow removal, dog walking, or anything that needed to be done, he was there. Jimmy and I loved to go shopping together. Jimmy loved animals and would often be seen walking Bandit and Cuddles. He will be missed by his fur sidekicks Snowball, Cuddles and Foster and is now re-united with his friend Bandit and taking him for long walks above the clouds.

Jimmy is survived by his mother, Shirley; his aunt, Monica Binder, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jimmy is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Paul and Mary Nicholson; uncles, Joe, Danny, Jackie and George, and aunts, Theresa Sutherland, Catherine (Sis) Richard and Pauline MacKeigan.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA would be appreciated.

Visitation is Tuesday, July 17 from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m., all in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. Fr. Dan Boudreau officiating. Cremation to follow with interment in St. Eugene’s Cemetery, Dominion at a later date.
