MACDOUGALL, Allan

It is with deep sadness that we, the sisters of Allan MacDougall announce his sudden passing in Toronto.

Born in Sydney, Allan was the son of the late Allan and Bertha MacDougall and the beloved brother of Joyce, Sydney; Shirley (Allan) MacCormack, Pennsylvania; Nancy, Saint John, NB and Linda (Ken) Penner, Antigonish.

Allan is also survived by nieces, Amy MacCormack and Mary Ellen Nicholson (Mike Martin); nephews, Doug (Melissa) MacCormack, Michael Nicholson, Alex Penner and Matthew Penner, and greatnieces, Ava, Ally and Willow and great-nephew, Colin. Extended family includes, aunts and uncles, Shirley and Don MacDonald, Florida, and Ron and Bobbi Morrison, Ontario, as well as cousins in both Canada and the USA.

Allan was a Chartered Professional Accountant and a graduate of Dalhousie and McGill universities. His career spanned over 35 years in both Montreal and Toronto. He was an active member of the YMCA and enjoyed a variety of sports since his youth. Allan volunteered with and participated in several finance related associations in Toronto over the years. His love of travel took him to many vacation spots, especially warm locations for golf trips.

Interment will take place in Sydney. Funeral arrangements are not yet complete.
