HARE, Yvonne Muriel (White) New Waterford

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Yvonne Muriel Hare (White) who passed away in her home on July 21, 2018, surrounded by family, after a long, wellfought, battle with cancer.

Yvonne, was born on May 30, 1964 in Hamilton, ON and lived, at various times of her life, in Cheticamp, NS and Prince Edward Island. She finally settled down and resided for many years in New Waterford, NS.

Yvonne enjoyed her work as a Medical Secretary for Dr. Jennifer Lange, who was not only her employer, but trusted friend.

Recently married on July 18, 2018, Yvonne had a sharp wit and eclectic sense of humor that served her well right up to her final days. She was an avid outdoors-woman who loved tending to her yard, feeding birds, hunting and fishing. She had a great eye for seeing things in nature, and enjoyed crafting unique gifts from trees, driftwood, stones and other natural items. Yvonne loved music, travel and spending time in the country as well. Her pride and joy however, were her two sons, her grandchild­ren and her home.

Yvonne is predecease­d by her mother, Marian. She is survived by husband, Robert White; her two sons, Stephane (Stephanie) Paturel, Zach (Debora) Glazer; three grandchild­ren, Kyesha, Shunay and Brooklynn; father, Stanley; sisters, Candace (John) Hare, Dawn (Chris) Hare; brothers, Stanley, Ken (Felicia), and Leslie; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Yvonne will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at McLellan Brothers Funeral Home in New Waterford, NS on Thursday, July 26th at 2 p.m. (a one hour viewing prior to the service).

In lieu of flowers or donations, contributi­ons may be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Center, the Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton, or the VON of Cape Breton.
