Pride Week 2018 list of events

Pride Week celebrations across the Cape Breton Regional Municipality kicked off with Friday’s noontime flag raising at the Civic Centre.

A ‘Pride Swag Making Party’ and the ‘Flat Out Fabulous Drag Extravaganza’ also highlighted an eventful opening day.

Here’s a list of many of the other events happening this year:

Saturday

Noon - Cape Breton Pride Parade

1:30 p.m. - Pride Party in the Park - Open Hearth Park

10 p.m. - Pride Dance Party Membertou Trade and Convention Centre

Sunday

5 p.m. - Not Your Grandma’s Bingo - Membertou Trade and Convention Centre

Monday

1 p.m. - Youth Project Open House - 44 George Street, Sydney

8 p.m. - So You Think You Can Drag - Holiday Inn Sydney Waterfront

Tuesday

10 a.m. - Outwod Fitness Event - CrossFit D10, Glace Bay

11 a.m. - Flat Out Fabulous Story Time - Cape Breton Regional Library, Sydney

2 p.m. - Trans Day of Celebration - Cape Breton Regional Library, Sydney

8 p.m. - Out at the Movies - Wentworth Park, Sydney
