Moncton, NB

We mourn and celebrate the life of David, 60, with thankful hearts for his life and his faith.

David was born in Sydney Mines, NS and grew up in North Sydney. As a child, David met the love of his life, Nancy, who stood by his side for 38 years of marriage. David’s passion for golf started at a young age with his father and continued to be a cherished activity with his wife and friends.

As David’s children grew, time on the golf course turned into cheering on the Wildcats and enjoying his children’s athletics. David built a lifelong career in retail and thoroughly enjoyed over 20 years with Kent Building Supplies. His very busy work schedule would not get in the way of David making his “four-family” a priority.

In time, David and Nancy were back golfing - travelling to as many courses as they could in a season, with highlight rounds in Scottsdale, Jamaica, Maui, and their favorite course Dundee Resort in Cape Breton.

David’s peaceful and worryfree way of life was grounded by his deep faith in Jesus Christ. He served on the Board of Elders at Hillside Baptist Church in Moncton and was very thankful to be part of various committees to help move the ministry forward.

David cherished and loved his family dearly, predeceased by his parents, Myrna (Nicholson) and Earl Snow, Coxheath, NS; older brother, Brian, Coxheath, NS, and mother-in-law, Anna Lewis (Ferguson), North Sydney.

What was once the “fourfamily” quickly grew to become the “eleven-family”. David is survived by his loving wife, Nancy (Lewis); his children, Matthew (Heather) and Jeffrey (Courtney); his grandchildren, Elijah, Anna, MacKenzie, Lincoln, and a new baby boy coming January 2019. Also left to mourn is his brother, Alan (Judy) of North Sydney; sister-in-law, Joan of Coxheath; special aunt, Lois MacLeod of Donkin, NS; father-in-law, Danny Lewis; brothers-in-law, Kenny Lewis and Sandy Lewis (Raylene) of North Sydney; sister-in-law, Norma Lewis (Shawn Connors) of Halifax, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Hillside Baptist Church, 2290 Mountain Rd., Moncton, NB on Wednesday, September 5, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral service on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Hillside Baptist Church. Reception following the service.

Arrangements under the professional care of Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd., Moncton (858-1995).
