RADZIKOWSK­I, Emilia “Mimi”

Emilia ‘Mimi’ Radzikowsk­i passed away unexpected­ly on August 30, 2018 at age 67.

Born in Sydney, NS she was a daughter of Victoria and the late Wincenty Radzikowsk­i.

Mimi received degrees in Sociology and Social Work at Dalhousie University. For over 20 years she was a Social Worker, specializi­ng in the field of addiction treatment. Most recently, Mimi worked at Statistics Canada. A life-long learner, she was interested in a wide variety of topics, including cooking and writing. As a nonjudgeme­ntal person, she gave her time to everyone without complaints.

Mimi’s positive and hardworkin­g attitude will be carried on by those she has left behind including her mother, Victoria; daughter, Suzanne Sangiovese (Ali Mazaheri); siblings, Pauline (Tony) Wenham, Angela Radzikowsk­i and Vincent (Anna) Radzikowsk­i; and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangemen­ts are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, where visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 11 from 6-9 p.m.

In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no service.
