CAMPBELL, Josephine ‘Josie’ Yvonne

The family sadly announces the passing of Josephine Yvonne Campbell, age 83 of Sydney on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.

Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Biago and Margaret (Bonner) Denittis.

People will remember Josephine as always being a very kind, sweet lady and as an amazing cook. She enjoyed family gatherings and get togethers and cooking for her family. As a pastime, she enjoyed going to bingo, the casino and playing card games on her computer. Josephine was a very successful Avon Representa­tive and a member of the President’s Club for over 17 years. Josie also worked from home as a seamstress. Josie is survived by her daughters, Lynda Head, Dolores (Dave) Marshall, Donna (Dominic) Campbell, Brenda Loranger, Judy (Bert) Bennett and Gail Campbell; sons, Robin Campbell, Hugh Campbell Jr., Lorne Campbell and Scott Campbell. Also surviving are grandchild­ren, Danna Campbell, Jesse Campbell, Adam Marshall, Melissa Marshall, Alexandria Loranger, Nicholas Loranger and Jared Head; great grandchild­ren, Riley d’Entremont, Naveah Scott- Campbell, Ryder Snow and sisters, Theresa MacDonald, Rita Snow and Angelina Denittis.

She was predecease­d by husband, Hugh Joseph Campbell; brothers, Michael Denittis, James Denittis and sister, Mary Penny.

Visitation for Josephine Campbell will be held on Sunday, September 9 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 10 at 11 a.m. at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church with Fr. Bill Burke officiatin­g. Interment at Resurrecti­on Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
