Northside designer’s jewelry scooped up by Emmy nominees

The healing gemstone jewelry produced by a Northside designer made its way into the hands of an Emmy winner and nominee at a gifting suite during the awards weekend.

Lisa Lee, a Toronto native who now calls North Sydney home, has taken part in several DPA pre-awards luxury gifting suites, including one held over the weekend at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel in Los Angeles.

Celebritie­s who attended the DPA Pre-Awards Gift Suite received Lee’s “Regenerate Your Energy” kits, a collection of healing gemstones with an essence bottle with a retail value of $129.

In addition, 10 special necklaces were exclusivel­y given to the nominees who attended this suite. The limited-edition design necklaces and three one-of-a-kind necklaces were given to awardwinni­ng artists and award nominees.

Alex Borstein, who won the Emmy for best supporting actress in a comedy series for her role in “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” received a limited-edition Asian freshwater pearl with red agate necklace.

Kenan Thompson of “Saturday Night Live” received one-ofa-kind necklace made of Asian freshwater pearls, smoky quartz and a sterling silver cross pendant studded with gemstones with the retail value of $10,000.

Award winner and two-time nominee Ann Dowd, who plays Aunt Lydia in the Golden Globes award winning drama, “The Handmaid’s Tale” received a limited-edition Asian freshwater pearls with black tourmaline with the retail value of $4,500.

Other nominee actresses such as Adina Porter of “American Horror Story,” Margo Martindale of “The Americans,” Dascha Polanco of “Orange is the New Black,” Naomi Grossman of, “American Horror Story,” Kelly Jenrette of “The Handmaid’s Tale,” and Diarra Kilpatrick of “American Koko” were other guests who received Cape Breton jewelry.

The retail value of the 10 necklaces that were gifted is $50,000.

The gifting suite wasn’t officially affiliated with the Emmys.
