We, the family of Mary Agnes (Aggie) Chiasson (McLeod), are heartbroke­n at the passing of our mom which occurred at the pine grove nursing home on September 23, 2018.

She was predecease­d by her husband, Thomas (Bullneck) Chiasson; as well as two sons, Joseph and Danny; and siblings, Alex, Elias, Charlie, Howie, Joey, Martha, Sarah and Theresa.

Mom is survived by her daughters, Annette (Ron Goodine), Irene (Brian Carroll), Mary (Dave Burke), Shelley (Janine MacKay); sons, Davy (Donna), Eddy, Marvie, Louie (Sharon); and many nieces and nephews

Mom was born July 18, 1927 in New Waterford, Cape Breton NS. The Daughter of Mary (Perfect) and James Mcleod. She was a homemaker and a wonderful mother; grandmothe­r to 14, and great-grandmothe­r to 23.

Anyone who knew our mom would remember the wonderful baker she was. Her tea biscuits and homemade bread were enjoyed by many. There was always a cup of tea waiting. Mom loved animals and had many over the years.

We the family, would like to thank all the staff at the Pine Grove Nursing Home for the wonderful and compassion­ate care they have given our mother over the years she was a resident there. We also would like to extend our appreciati­on to the staff for their kindness and attention they showed us during this time.

Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 25, from 6-9 p.m.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul on Wednesday, September 26, at 3 p.m. with a reception to follow. Fr. Charles Udeh will officiate There will be a graveside service held at Mount Carmel Cemetery on Friday, September 28, at 10 a.m. with Leo Penney officiatin­g.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary can be made to the SPCA or a charity of the donor’s choice.
