It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of our dear mother and sister, Margaret Ann Peck of Wagmatcook at the age of 50. Margaret Ann passed away at the Cape Breton Reginal Hospital surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, September 20, 2018.

Born in Baddeck on July 24, 1968. She was the daughter of the late Michael and June Marie (Bernard) Peck.

She graduated from Sydney Mines Memorial High School and worked in Eskasoni as a Dispatcher at the Police station; she loved to figure skate and was a waitress at the Trailsmen Motel. Her best friend was her brother, Chief Norman Bernard.

Margaret Ann will sadly be missed by her son, Brendan Peck, Wagmatcook; her sisters, Mary Lou Peck, Norma Jean Peck, Allison Peck (Korey Knickle); brothers, Howard Isadore (Roberta Isadore), Maynard Peck, Terry Peck (Cynthia Bernard), Roy Peck, Captain- Douglas Peck, Charles (Chuckie) Peck, Chief Norman Bernard

(Sylvia Bernard); nieces; greatniece­s; nephews; great-nephews; godchildre­n, Hannah Isadore, Bonita Peck, Tristen Isadore, Wagmatcook, Nolan Isadore, Sydney, Ashton Googoo, Whycocomag­h; her uncle, Ben Peck, Wagmatcook; aunts, Phyllis Googoo (Bernie Googoo), Whycocomag­h and Jean Peck, Eskasoni.

She was predecease­d by her brother, Malcohm; companion, Wintson Bernard; grandparen­ts, Louie Bernard, Gabriel Peck, Annie C. Bernard, Mary Susan Bernard; aunts, Agnus, Bellen, Josephine, Eskasoni; uncle, Roy Peck, Wagmatcook.

Visitation for Margaret Ann will begin after 4 p.m. at her brother, Terry Peck’s residence at 8 Sugar Bush Rd., Wagmatcook on Sunday, September 30, 2018.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 2 at 11 a.m. at Church St. Katieri Tekawitha, Blessed Queen of the World Church with Fr. Vargheese officiatin­g. Interment in the parish cemetery.
