It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our Special Angel on Friday, October 5, 2018. Theresa was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary (MacAdam) MacDonald. She lived in Niagara Falls in her younger years before moving to Pugwash where she worked for many years at Gillis store. Theresa and Sandy traveled all over the world before moving back to her hometown of Glace Bay.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alexander ‘Sandy’ Connell; sisters, Mary Bedard, Ann Reynolds and Sarah Wagoner; brothers, Gregory, Neil J., Daniel and Gerard, as well as many friends.

Theresa is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by her Special Family, Amanda, Todd, Kersten and Darren McDonald; her furry friend, Nella; sisters-in-law, Peggy Shortliffe, Lillian Connell;

brother-in-law, Edwin, and many nieces and nephews.

Special Thanks to her good friend Irene MacNeil (what would we do without our Irene).

As per Theresa’s wishes there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Currys Glace Bay Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Ocean Avenue Cemetery.
