DEVOE, Eva

-

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, grandmother and friend, Eva Clark (Ball) Devoe, on Monday, October 29, 2018 at home.

Born in Leitches Creek, November 30, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Eva (Clark) Ball and Alvin Ball, as well as the stepdaughter of the late Christina (MacQueen) Ball.

In her younger days she enjoyed camping and fishing in the Highlands. Her backyard was always open to all the kids in the neighborhood for a good campfire. She enjoyed her Sunday drives and days spent at the beach with her kids.

Eva is survived by her children; George (Maxine), Brenda (Brian) Taylor, Derek (caregiver), Lawrence (Tina), Kevin (Anne), Lori Ann, Nicole (Brian Miles); grandchildren, Karen Bradley, Abigail and John Taylor, Evan and Peter Jessome and her in-laws; Melvin Devoe (Christina), Stella Devoe and Mavis Devoe. She will also be missed by her loyal dog Skippy.

Eva was predeceased by her grandparents that raised her; Martha and George Clark, the love of her life, Stanley Devoe and her daughter Nancy Ann Devoe.

A special thank you to the Northside General Hospital Dialysis Unit, for the wonderful care given to our mother. She met so many wonderful people there.

Services for the late Eva Devoe will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fillmore and Whitman Funeral Home.
