Calling all science students

- BY MARINA GILLIS AGRICULTURE LEADERSHIP CO-ORDINATOR

What interests you? Is there something you would love to test or invent? Do you have a question that you want to explore?

Whatever it is, the sky is the limit for 4-H Canada Science Fair projects.

The 4-H Canada Science Fair is an opportunity for participants to explore, experiment and discover. As part of the 4-H Canada Science Fair, 4-H youth plan, research, complete and submit science projects, independently or in pairs, to be judged virtually, in the hopes of moving to the in-person round and ultimately to the CanadaWide Science Fair.

The 4-H Canada Science Fair is open to 4-H’ers in Grades 7-12. Registration for the 4-H Canada Science Fair closes Jan. 16. Register now and start on your project submission as soon as possible.

Submissions will be judged virtually between Jan. 17-31. Successful members in the virtual

round will move on to the inperson round at the Dalhousie University Agriculture Campus in Truro, from Feb. 27-March 3.

The top five members and their projects will be entered in the Canada-Wide Science Fair where they will compete against the best and the brightest from across Canada.

The 2019 Canada-Wide Science Fair will take place in Fredericton, N.B., May 11-18.
