Local hockey teams on home ice this weekend

SYDNEY – A number of local hockey teams will be on home ice this weekend.

In Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League action, the Eskasoni Junior Eagles will host the Valley Wildcats tonight at 7 p.m. at the Dan K. Stevens Memorial Arena in Eskasoni. The Junior Eagles will also play the Valley Maple Leafs at 2 p.m. on Sunday in Eskasoni.

The Kameron Junior Miners will host the Maple Leafs todayat 7:30 p.m. at the Membertou Sport and Wellness Centre.

In Nova Scotia Eastlink Major Midget Hockey League action, the Cape Breton Unionized Tradesmen will host the Halifax McDonald’s today at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m., both games in Membertou.

The Cape Breton West Islanders will play the Valley Wildcats today at 6 p.m. and Sunday at noon at the Al MacInnis Sports Centre in Port Hood.

In Nova Scotia Female Midget ‘AAA’ Hockey League action, the MacIntyre Chevy Panthers will host the Northern Lightning today at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m., both games in Membertou.

In Nova Scotia Major Bantam Hockey League action, the Joneljim Cougars will play Kings Mutual of Berwick today at 7:15 p.m. on home ice, before playing the All Credit Auto Rangers of East Hants at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, both games at the Emera Centre Northside in North Sydney.
