WELLS, Shirley Helen

-

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Shirley Wells at home on November 11, 2018.

Shirley was the daughter of the late Murdock and Hattie MacIntosh (Daisley). She was born December 13, 1946 in Edwardsville. She married the love of her life Lonnie and they continued to live in Edwardsville.

Shirley was a caregiver with Breton Caregivers. She was a member of the Point Edward Women’s Institute for 35 years. Shirley loved going to dances, going for walks, reading and enjoyed all the pleasures of life. Shirley was well known for her story telling. She had a way to keep you intrigued until the very end of her story. To know Shirley is to love Shirley. Her kind and gentle way will be missed. Whomever Shirley came in contact with, she made feel they were amazing. Her presence was strong, and her kind words were empowering. Shirley is survived by her husband, Alonzo Wells; daughter, Tarin Wells and brother, Billy. Besides her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her siblings, Bedford, Susie, Sadie Jennette and Lambert.

At Shirley’s request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life for Shirley will take place on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the S.W. Chant and

Son Funeral Home Chapel, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney with Rev. Sheldon Chant to officiate.
