It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pius W Corbett (Tommy) on Nov 13,2018 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Glace Bay, He was the son of the late Pius and Elizabeth (MacKay) Corbett

Da worked in the coal mines for 33 years in 26 colliery and Phalen mine until he retired.

Da loved to go to the bars to have a good time and dance. He couldn’t resist a family get together and pulling out the video camera for every event.

Pius (Tommy)is survived by his Children: Tammy (Bernard); Timmie (Teresa); Paulette (Chris); Florance (Peter); John Peach (Robin) all of Dominion. Also by his 14 grandchild­ren, Catherine, Bruce (Emily), Jordan (Rebecca), Bernard (Brittany), Katelyn (Dustin), Tanis (Cory), Sam, Amanda, Tommy, Alyssa (Victor), Daniel, Peter O, Keidi, Chris and 9 Great-Grandchild­ren Hunter, Rylan, Sky, Quinn, Sophia, Jensen, Elijha, Payton and Sarah.

Also he is survived by his brother, Greg (Mary) Corbett, Thompson, Manitoba ,Sisters: Loretta (Kenneth) Munroe, Frances Corbett, both of Dominion, Geraldine (Joe) Williams, Sydney Mines, Valerie (Jim) Calhoun, of Ontario, Muriel Corbett, Glace Bay, Florence Peach, Sydney, Colette (Dave) Turner, Louisbourg

Dad was predecease­d by his wife, Muriel, and our special angel Landon. His brothers, James, Robert and Kenneth; sisters, Lillian Usher, Joyce Clarke, Marion Braganaza, Evangeline Pasher .

Cremation has already taken place. Visitation will take place on Monday Nov.19, 2018 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. with Funeral Mass to follow in the Chapel.

We would like to send out a special heart felt thanks to the Nursing Staff of the CCU and 4A for taking care of dad during this time.
