Foggy View Players to stage their latest production

-

“Rented Christmas,” a play featuring Christmas carols, will be staged at the Louisbourg Playhouse, Saturday, Sunday and Monday at 7 p.m.

It’s the story of middle-aged bachelor and prominent businessman John Dale who is trying to rent the perfect Christmas. Based on the short story by J. Lillian Vandervere, it’s the latest effort from The Foggy View Players, Louisbourg’s community theatre group.

“The Foggy View Players is continuing its goal of growing the arts scene in Louisbourg and the surrounding area,” says director Natasha Morash. “We are now putting on our third show and I feel safe in saying that we keep getting better with every show.”

The group’s goal is to inspire a renewed passion for the theatre with a focus on community collaboration and economic development through the creative arts.

“The Foggy View Players is a wonderful place to explore a new hobby and there is room for everyone no matter their experience and interest — acting, set building, costuming, tickets sales, and backstage, just to name a few,” says Morash.

Those involved in the group have positive things to say about the new production.

“Rented Christmas brings back the true meaning of what Christmas is all about,” says actor Josephine Kennedy.

“Everyone has been so welcoming to new members, and we are having so much fun getting into the Christmas spirit,” says Lynaya Burke, who’s taking part in her first Foggy View Players production.

Tickets to “Rented Christmas” are $10 per person and are available by contacting Brett Hanham at 902-317-3327 or by email bhanham@Gmail.com.
