It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful husband, father, son, and brother, Hugh Fraser MacDougall. Hugh passed on January 31, 2019, at the Halifax Infirmary.

He was born on September 20, 1935 to Hugh and Josie MacDougall in Glace Bay, NS.

At the time of death, Hugh resided in Halifax with his wife and daughter.

Hugh was a loving husband, devoted father, and exceptiona­l son and brother. He was, above all else, a family man. Hugh proudly served his country with integrity and joy for 22 years as an airman in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Upon his retirement from the Air Force, he joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and served another 13 years, Thus, he proudly and successful­ly served his country for 35 years.

Hugh is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Susan Kristine, and by his cherished daughter, Sarah Elizabeth. He is also survived by his sisters, Dorothy and Mary Lou MacDougall and by a niece, nephews and by many cousins.

Besides his parents, Hugh was predecease­d by his brother, Allan in infancy, and by his brother, Douglas Michael.

As per Hugh’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral services. Arrangemen­ts took place under the compassion­ate care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialist­s, Bedford. (902-835-4212)
