GRIFFITHS, Judith Anne (Parr) 1955 – 2020

It is with deep sadness that we the family of the late Judy Griffiths, regret to announce her passing on Sunday, May 10, 2020, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born on December 1, 1955, in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the (late John) and Dorothy (Campbell) Parr. Judy worked for many years as a clerk at the former B & W Variety and for over 20 years as a cook at Maple Hill Manor. Judy really loved cooking and working with the residents of the manor. She was best known as a great cook, always pleasant and willing to do anything for anyone. Judy is survived by her mom, Dorothy Parr; the love of her life, her husband of 47 years, Alan; sons, Palmer and Teddy, whom she loved and cherished; grandchild­ren, Nevon and Justine who were her pride and joy; brothers, John Sr, Deckland MacNeil, Johnny Parr (Rachel Lucas); sister, Kim; aunt, Helen Campbell; her sisters-in-law, Linda Buch (Adam), Alana Forst (John), Jenny MacIsaac (Greg), Gayle Laporte (Donzil); brother-inlaw, Ronnie (Mira) Griffiths; many nieces and nephews. Besides her father John, she was pre-deceased by her brother, Wayne (2016); sister, Margie (2017); grand nephew, Joneil Hanna (2018); stepfather, Neil MacNeil (2010); grandparen­ts, Alex ‘Brick’ and Susie Campbell. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at a later date. Donations in Judy’s memory can be made to the Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
