CAMPBELL, Gerald “Monkey” 1963 - 2002 River Ryan

-

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Gerald “Monkey” Campbell on May 15, 2020. He was the son of the late John “Put Put” and Ann Marie (MacCormick) Campbell. Gerald was an unbelievably hard worker and was very well liked and respected by everyone he worked with. He worked for many years in the oilfields of Alberta and was a Site Superintendent at Aurora site in Fort McMurray when he passed. He was an avid outdoorsman, as he loved to hunt, fish and anything else to do with nature. He was a member of a local ATV club and riding in the woods of Lake Ainslie was his favourite thing to do. Gerald enjoyed hosting family gatherings with his children and grandchildren, loving the chaos of such a large family. Turkey dinners and barbecue being his forte. Gerald is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy; his children, Kandice (Stephen), Sam(Matt), Victoria (Marissa) and Connor; as well as his grandchildren, Riley, Leah, Claire and Luka; his sister, Mary Flora Campbell; stepmother, Valerie; step sister, Trina; and stepbrother, Andrew. Gerald was predeceased by his parents, Ann Marie and John, and his brother, Joseph. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations in Gerald’s memory can be made to Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave, New Waterford, 902-862-7500.
