MOORE, James Charles North Sydney

-

We, the family of Charlie, regret to announce his passing on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at the Northside Community Guest Home. Born in North Sydney on March 20, 1941, Charlie was the son of the late George and Greta (Gale) Moore. Beloved brother of Reid (Debbie) and sister Judy (Tom) LeBlanc; brother-in-law, Mark Fleming, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Georgina (Bill) McGrath, Gale Fleming and Gloria Moore. A much loved son and brother, Charlie was a well known figure around the Regent Street area of North Sydney. At seven he suffered a severe fever which left him with a mental disability. Regardless of this he was a stickler for detail and had a great sense of humor. After his parent’s death Charlie was well cared for and we wish to thank two places in particular which stood out. The Cape Breton Residential Society of New Waterford and the Northside Community Guest Home. Due to Covid-19 restrictions a private service was held at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, North Sydney with Rev. Douglas Beck officiating and interment in Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. Memorial donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Anglican Church or Haley Street Adult Service Centre. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.wjdooley.com.
