She was born in New Waterford on May 4, 1931 to John and Veronica (MacDougall) Leadbeater. She moved to Montreal at an early age, where she met and married Reginald Gaudet and had her daughter, Karen. She made a life there for fifty years, forty of those years remarried to Johnny Saraceno. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her husbands, Reginald Gaudet and Johnny Saraceno; her sister, Lucy and husband Louie; brothers, Allie and wife Mary, Malcolm ‘Baldy’ and wife Shirley, and Jack ‘Tucker’; and sister-in-law, Sheila. She was also predeceased by her Saraceno in-laws, Rose, Ida, Alphonse and Henry; and her companion and dancing partner, John ‘JR’ Roach. She will be missed by her good friend, Joan McIssac and son, Frankie who were a big part of her daily routine. Also Teresa and Gerry McGibbon who were very good to her. Cremation has taken place.
