Lost man found safe in woods off New Boston Road

NEW BOSTON – A 59-yearold man was found safe early Thursday morning after becoming lost in a wooded area off New Boston Road on Wednesday.

Cape Breton Regional Police received a call around 5:30 p.m. from a family member indicating the man had been fishing and could not find his way back to his vehicle.

Police located the man’s vehicle and the K-9 united was called to the scene.

Cape Breton Search and Rescue were called to the area around 9 p.m. and he was later found.
