Nova Scotia winery uncorks donation regional hospital foundations
SYDNEY — A Nova Scotia winery has uncorked a $50,000 donation to several regional hospital foundations.
Last month, Benjamin Bridge vineyards, located in the Gaspereau Valley on the Bay of Fundy, announced it had raised $50,100
by donating 10 per cent of its Nova 7 sales at Nova Scotia Liquor Corp. stores from March 16 to June 7.
The money will be shared by the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation, Dartmouth General Hospital Foundation and Valley Regional Hospital Foundation.
Rick McCarthy, acting CEO of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation, said the money will help improve health care in the province.
“Thanks to their tremendous generosity, we will be able to provide more vital support for patients and their families in Cape Breton.”
