SYLLIBOY, Elizabeth Marie Eskasoni

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, Elizabeth Marie Sylliboy. Elizabeth passed away peacefully at home on Friday, Aug. 7, 2020 at 72 years of age. She was born on Jan. 19, 1948 to Joseph and Susie Denny. Elizabeth was a loving, supportive mother who was devoted to her family. A beloved wife to Wayne and loving mother to son, Lyndon (Marlena Paul). She is also survived by her aunts, Virginia Googoo and Josephine Paul; sisters-in-law, Sylvia Denny and Barbara (Jim), Nancy, Eunice, Betty and Sheila; mother-in-law, Annie Paul and brothers-in-law, Ben Sylliboy and Brian Paul (Sarena), Danny Paul (Karen), Billy Paul and Ricky Paul. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, several god children, many friends and her beloved cat Patches. Elizabeth’s first job was with Meadows Motel where she stayed for several years. Following this she worked as a janitor with the Eskasoni School Board until retiring in 1998, cleaned the church for many years. Outside of her family, Elizabeth enjoyed and loved hobbies like attending Pow Wow’s, Camping, Bingo, arts and crafts. She was also a huge Habs fan. Besides her parents, Elizabeth was predecease­d by her sister, Elizabeth Denny and Eugene Denny. Visitation will start at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13 at the Gabriel Centre in Eskasoni. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15 at Holy Family Church in Eskasoni with Fr. Antolin Asori officiatin­g. Interment to follow in the Parish cemetery.
