FRASER, Virginia Helen January 23, 1925 ~ November 30, 2020

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Virginia Helen Fraser, Middle River at the age of 95, Monday, Nov. 30, 2020 in the Foyer Pere Fiset, Cheticamp. Virginia lead a very active life until two years ago when a medical condition limited her mobility. She was happiest in her flower garden and cutting the grass on her ride-on-mower. She was a full time home maker during her early years; but later she began working for the Cape Breton Tourist Associatio­n. She was a member of the Farquharso­n Presbyteri­an Church and the Middle River Seniors Club. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Thelma; son, Jackie (Jess); grandchild­ren, Gary (Darlene), Bev (Donnie), Shane (Kerri), Katie (Kyle) and Kelly (Ryan); great-grandchild­ren, Jeremy (Chelsea), Shyla (Scott), Colby, Kaitlin, Rory, Scarlett and Sophie; great-great-grandson, Nash. Thanks to technology she was able to stay in touch and enjoy photos and videos of all family. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Minnie Davis, British Columbia and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents John and Elizabeth (Grant) MacIntyre she was predecease­d by her husband, Howard; sister, Mary Nicholson; brothers-in-law, Angus (Ada), Ken (Marion), Harry Davis and Duncan Nicholson; great-grandchild, Jayden, in infancy. Due to Covid-19 a private family funeral service will be held Dec. 5, 2020 in Farquharso­n Presbyteri­an Church with Rev. Louis Ihasz officiatin­g. Donations in memory of the late Virginia Fraser may be made to NS Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
